Financial Services Ombudsman
This is an independent statutory body established to arbitrate on disputes between consumers and financial services firms. Much like all ombudsman schemes, it cannot be used until, first, the complaints procedure has been exhausted with the firm against whom you wish to make a complaint. Thereafter, the Ombudsman can arbitrate and its rulings will be binding on the financial services firm. Check out its Terms of Reference to see if your unresolved complaint falls within them. (If not refer the matter to a solicitor to examine proceeding with litigation).
